Princess Beatrice's Shoe Closet Is Better Than Meghan Markle's — and I'm Not Saying This Lightly

31/07/2018 - 10:40 AM

Princess Beatrice might hang out with Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle [1], but her style is on a whole other level [2]. While the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex have to follow a few strict fashion rules [3], Beatrice is free to wear shorter hemlines [4] and wilder prints [5] — but it's her always stylish and sometimes funky shoes that I love the most.

Over the years, Princess Beatrice has worn every style of shoe imaginable — from the most simple black pumps to rainbow flats and copper heels — and I'd give anything to be allowed to take a closer peek at her collection. (Beatrice, if you're reading this, call me.) While this might not be possible, I have the next best thing: photographic evidence of all her best shoe moments. Read on to see them all, and shop similar pairs to get on her royal level.

The Electric Blue Heels

In June 2018, Beatrice attended the Victoria and Albert Museum Summer Party. For the occasion, she wore a white MSGM dress, which she paired with a black box bag and a gorgeous pair of electric blue heels [7] that immediately stole our attention.

The Black Suede Slingbacks

One of Princess Beatrice's most worn pairs of heels are these black suede slingbacks, and it's easy to see why. Not only do they look incredibly chic, they also go with most outfits. In May 2018, she wore them with a classic LBD, a burgundy velvet jacket, and cute box bag.

That same month, she wore them with an all-black outfit [11] composed of a frilly dress and a cropped leather jacket.

She also wore them with a purple floral dress.

The Laser-Cut Black Heels

Everyone owns a pair of black heels, and Beatrice found the perfect way of making hers stand out: opting for a laser-cut detailing. In April 2015, she wore them with an all-black outfit.

She did the same in September 2016, this time opting to dress down her outfit with a varsity jacket.

In September 2017, she wore her laser-cut heels with a long-sleeved minidress.

The Gold Heel Detail

The Cutout Sandals

For the celebration of Burberry's antibullying movement "Be Cool, Be Nice," Beatrice wore a silk Burberry dress [15]. She paired it with a black coat and a gorgeous pair of Sarah Flint suede heels, which left us with major heart eyes.

Princess Beatrice doesn't often wear flats — but when she does, she always makes sure that they are extra fun. In May 2017, she opted for a cute pair of silver slip-ons with a rainbow detail, and they still make me smile every time she wears them.

While simple pumps are always a great choice to give a polished finish to any outfit, Princess Beatrice also loves heels that have a little something more. When she attended a tennis match in September 2016, she wore a white shirt, blue skirt, and suede pumps with an ankle strap detail.

Our Pick: Valentino Rockstud Cross-Strap Suede Pumps

The Ballet Flats

Ballet flats are a must have, but you certainly don't have to stick to simple designs. Take Princess Beatrice, for example, who owns a pair that features silver toe caps. Not only are they comfortable and practical, they're also fun and a bit different.

Our Pick: Gianvito Rossi Plexi & Suede Pumps

Gianvito Rossi Plexi & Suede Pumps [31] (£392, originally £522)

The Buckle Ankle Boots

Even when we think they're gone for good, buckle ankle boots always manage to make a comeback. Back in 2015, Princess Beatrice wore hers on the red carpet, and I've been in love with the style ever since.
