Shoe Trends Fall 2018

Fall 2018's Biggest Shoe Trends Are Coming in Hot, Ready or Not

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you'll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

When Priyanka Chopra paraded her way into the 2018 royal wedding wearing Jimmy Choo x Off-White ornamental heels, we knew the "jewellery for your feet" trend would stick around. In fact, the exact pump has already sold out with plenty of similar options taking its place for Fall. Also on this season's hot list are Western cowboy booties, which soared to the top of our must haves after Selena Gomez wore a pair to the Coach show.

You'll also find yourself pining for kitten heel mules and animal print for your feet, and oh yes, those chunky dad sneakers are sticking around, whether you like it or not. Ahead, we rounded up the silhouettes that should be stocked in your "back-to-school" wardrobe this Fall, with some of your favourite stars, models, and influencers leading by example. Scroll to shop or jump ahead to a category.

1. Knee-High Leather Boots

As demonstrated by Angelina Jolie, who has clearly never stopped loving the silhouette, pair them with a midlength skirt and a fuzzy sweater and you're off. For a more daring twist, choose a cranberry or tan shade.

2. Kitten Heel Mules

Kourtney Kardashian styled this milky white pair with a denim jumpsuit. Fall's mules take all different forms and come in plenty of striking colours, but shop a kitten heel for the most updated version.

3. Western Booties

The Fall 2018 Western bootie isn't a simple cowboy boot, but has luxurious touches like Victorian inspired lace-up details or velvet texture. Selena Gomez modelled Coach's version with a breezy floral dress.

4. Ornamental Heels

Think of these sexy stilettos or pumps as jewellery for your feet. Wear them in the evening with LBDs or denim and a t-shirt when you're headed out to dinner, then the bar. Priyanka Chopra's lust-worthy Jimmy Choo x Off-White pair made quite the statement at the royal wedding.

5. Chunky Dad Sneakers

Yara Shahidi's PVC Chanel kicks are our idea of this trend taking its most covetable form, but there are truly so many different colourways and fabrics to shop — and at a variety of price points, too.

6. Schoolgirl Block Heel

Speaking of "back to school," the block heel is making a major comeback, and ladies are even trying out square-toed options. Emma Roberts wore these Yuul Yie Mary-Janes through the airport, and we were smitten, to say the least.

7. Animal Print

Kim Kardashian has proven her love for Yeezy snakeskin styles, but leopard booties and zebra patterns are aplenty, and you can work your favourite print on heels or flats.

8. '80s Lady

The ankle-height '80s boot is going nowhere. If you've already tried it out in a crisp white colour, like Hannah Bronfman, why not try investing in a pair in fire engine red?

9. Combat Craze

Leave it to the supermodels to start a frenzy with combat boots. This popular '90s shoe can be worn with thick ankle-rise socks à la Bella Hadid or paired with a utility jumpsuit to toughen up and ground your outfit even more.
