Sienna Miller Has Been Owning the Met Gala For Over 10 Years

12/05/2018 - 10:11 AM

Sienna Miller [1] has been fashionably hiking the famous Metropolitan Museum stairs for over 10 years now, and not once has she left us feeling unsatisfied with her sartorial choices — the same goes for her Golden Globes ensembles [2]. First attending the Met Gala in 2006, representing Burberry and British pal Christopher Bailey, Sienna served pure Edie Sedgwick in a gold, sequinned minidress. Four years later, she walked the red carpet with then-beau Jude Law [3] in a blue Emilio Pucci dress we probably won't ever shake from our minds (and trust us, we don't want to).

Her attendance in 2013 proved she could be positively punk in a studded leather jacket, and in 2018, she took on the gala's "Heavenly Bodies" theme looking simply ethereal. From factory girl to dream punk, read on to meet all the Siennas of Met Gala history.

2018: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination

Sienna was a heavenly body in Louis Vuitton at the 2018 Met Gala, taking inspiration from her 2016 ensemble in a gold, sequinned skirt. She accessorised the look with a jewel-encrusted belt, statement necklace, and the crown she is so worthy of.

2016: Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology

In 2016, Sienna chose Gucci for the Manux x Machina gala, looking truly ethereal in a strapless golden gown juxtaposed with a robust, rigid clutch.

2015: China: Through the Looking Glass

Styled in Thakoon, Sienna looked a vision in a daring red trouser suit paired with bold black accessories and a red jewel clutch.

2013: Punk: Chaos to Couture

Sienna played dream punk in a studded leather Burberry Prorsum jacket over a slick white gown.

2010: American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity

In 2010, Sienna walked the Met Gala red carpet with then-beau Jude Law [4] wearing a revealing Emilio Pucci dress styled with reptile sandals.

2006: AngloMania: Tradition and Transgression in British Fashion

Sienna was the ultimate Factory Girl (out the same year) in 2006, serving us a large dose of Edie Sedgwick in a golden sequinned minidress and patent Mary-Jane mules by Burberry.
