No, Sir, We're Not Getting a Band of Outsiders Show — and That's Not All
After previously referring to the chaos of Fashion Week as a "dog and pony show," Scott Sternberg is taking his Band of Outsiders show off the runway. Instead, we'll see photos of his Spring 2015 collection pop into our inbox next week.
Aside from the fact that the designer's New York flagship store is set to open at the time he would've presented his line, he's also suggested that he dreads hectic back-and-forth planning: "I used to do everything myself. It was 10 times easier and more enjoyable. Now I have to socialise with all these people and tell them what I want, which would be much easier to do myself," Sternberg stated a few months back.
And the designer's announcement isn't the only shake-up at NYFW this season. With Marc Jacobs's recently confirmed Fashion Week schedule change, Ruffian's Hollywood relocation, the CFDA's newly enforced plan to acquire the Fashion Calendar, and the digital shift that's modernising runway shows left and right, the good news is that we're still sensing a bright future for the industry.
