When watching fashion shows some trends leave me a little bit overexcited. For example, as a child of the '90s I couldn't wait to tell you about the return of '90s trends and knew you'd be pleased to hear about it. However, on the flip side some trends leave me with a horrible feeling in my stomach and I know I'll have to sit this trend out. Well, the bare midriff is unfortunately one of those trends! It appeared on the catwalk at Osman Yousefzada, House of Holland and Cacharel. Ironically, this style goes hand-in-hand with the '90s revival as tops are cropped to reveal a bit of flesh.
The easiest way to work this trend is with high waisted trousers and a trapeze jacket (as seen at Yousefzada above right) but if you're feeling brave (and have toned abs) then go all out with a cropped top and trousers that finish just below your belly-button. How do you feel about the return of this style?
