Topshop Unique Has Everything the Brit Cool Girl Needs For Spring
With Bella Hadid on the catwalk and Alexa Chung in the audience, Topshop Unique had the cool-girl crowd sorted for Spring 2016. The collection played on "heirloom prettiness" and as usual felt very British, from the Wedgwood-print tea dresses (a collaboration with the famous china makers) to the borrowed-from-the-boyfriend oversize cricket jumpers.
Though the majority of the collection did play to the more feminine side, with diaphanous dresses topped with marabou stoles, those less fond of girlie looks were also catered to, with mannish shirts tucked into pinstripe trousers, and '80s high-waisted jeans and oversize blazers. To finish, lacy evening dresses in cream and black lace left a lasting impression.
