Whistles Takes You From the High Street to the Beach For Spring 2015
When we saw the invitation to the Whistles presentation, we expected to see some bold prints on the catwalk. It was a colourful yellow palm from artist Joe Cruz, who made a name for himself refining black-and-white posters with bright brushstrokes. And indeed, we saw those palms again when we headed for the presentation, held in a tunnel near London's King's Cross station. But this time, they were printed in soft pink and light grey on trousers and tops made from silk. In fact, the colour palette was entirely muted, so if you were looking for bold pieces, you should turn yourself to the daring monochrome looks with laser-cut leather and broderie anglaise. There were also standout accessories such as flatform sandals with espadrille soles, a chic leather rucksack, and a golden bum bag. The collection was completed with plenty of the breezy dresses and jumpsuits that the British retailer is known for. So whether you'll be spending Spring 2015 on the beach or in the city, Whistles has got you covered.
