Add Winter White to Your Uniform With Zadig & Voltaire
Zadig & Voltaire designer Cecilia Bonstrom took military clothing as her starting point for Autumn/Winter 2014, with a show that kicked off with a series of glamorous parkas with fur trims, army striped jackets, and utility details. Given a feminine overhaul with patchwork details, pops of purple and orange, and even a dash of sparkle, the looks were far from uniform but still had a tomboy vibe that will appeal to the label's European fanbase.
Multicoloured sequins appeared on casual pieces like dungarees, hooded sweatshirts, and shell tops, making them more appropriate for evening, while supershort minidresses with plunging necklines added a touch of Parisian attitude, especially when topped by the brand's signature Lily biker jacket. The show finished with arguably the most memorable looks: a series of chunky knits in dramatic Winter white, with exaggerated sleeves, fringing, and a slouchy, bohemian feel, worn over sequinned dresses with laid-back accessories, as if the model had thrown a cardigan over her party dress to pop out for croissants following a big night.
