Zara Polka Dot Dress 2019

This £40 Polka Dot Dress From Zara Is Causing a Sensation

With every Zara drop, there are generally a few statement pieces that we start seeing everywhere. Whether they pop up on our Instagram feed or we spot them on the street, these are the items that are so good, they often get restocked seasons later. (Seriously, I wore this banana yellow caped mini to a wedding in 2014, and it was only recently retired from the brand's site, though Zara continues to churn out iterations of it.)

I've got a feeling the same will ring true for this polka-dot print dress, which rings in at £40 and made its rounds in the UK very quickly. It's already a hit in the POPSUGAR offices too. Both Content Director Tara Block and Senior Vice President of Content Operations Angelica Marden are proud owners, and they're not even ashamed to wear it on the same day — clearly.

"I bought the Zara polka dot dress after seeing a cute woman wearing it at our POPSUGAR Play/Ground event in New York City in June! I had no idea it was a thing at the time, but quickly learned it was when I wore it to a party and three different people referenced the NYT article about it," Angelica said.

Tara loves that it doesn't fly up in the wind and that she can style it with heels or sneakers, and Angelica wears it with a polka dot Sleeper slip for an extra layer. Since the pattern is so classic, and the silhouette is modest and flowy, both ladies plan to keep it in rotation for awhile, and I definitely don't blame them.

If you're already psyched to pick up this exact one, Tara has some sizing advice: "I went one size up (I normally wear a small, but I got a medium), and while the sleeves and length are a little long, I like that it's on the loose side, especially on hot Summer days when you want something airy." If you're in the market for polka dots, and you want a few more options (or you just like to be, ya know, unique), you can shop some similar looks after the jump.
