In possibly the best news we've heard about Spring 2020 yet: Aerie is jumping on the sustainable bandwagon with its swimwear. The brand recently debuted its Real Good Swim line, which is part of a partnership with REPREVE, a brand that produces performance fibre made from 1.2M recycled plastic bottles. The collection is available in 10 different styles and 35 different colorways, so you've got options.

When it comes to swimwear, we're at the point where it only makes sense to invest in suits that have been made with care, with a number of eco-conscious labels available to us at friendly price points. Aerie is just backing that notion even more, with aim to make 50 percent of its total swim range sustainable by Summer. The particular suits you see below are priced from $19 to $54, and the fabric even comes with UPF 50, so you've got extra protection from the sun.

If you're interested in the strides Aerie is taking to become more environmentally friendly, you'll be happy to know that the company is joining the United Nation's Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action as well as RE100, which unites businesses committed to using renewable power. In the meantime, check out the campaign images that are sure to put a smile on your face and continue to promote body diversity, which is also crucial to us, then shop a few of our favourite selects and watch this space as Aerie rolls out more silhouettes.
