America Ferrera Put on a Gold Sequin Dress – and Heels!

It's safe to say not many of us are getting all glammed up in a gold sequin dress and high heels at home right now — even though the holidays [1] are on the horizon. But America Ferrera [2] and her stylist, Karla Welch [3], took it upon themselves to catch everyone's attention with something truly unique for Every Vote Counts [4], a celebration of democracy on CBS. America settled on Sea New York's Selina Puff-Sleeve Dress from the label's spring/summer 2020 collection, which is no longer available, though she totally deserves to make us all jealous in her sequins, considering all the work she does to use her platform [5] to make our country a better place.

"Party dress on! Tonight's the night! We're celebrating Democracy!" Ferrera captioned a photo of herself on the couch. Welch even celebrated the fact that America put on a pair of heels for the occasion, specifically gorgeous mule with metallic details from Italian brand Mia Becar. Technically, she could've been fine finishing off this look with slippers, and we'd never have known about it. But Ferrera really went all out. Her look was complete with a pair of chain-link drop earrings and beautiful makeup, which you can see up close when you click right to watch her important message to her fans and followers.
