Outkast's André 3000 Turns His Slogan Jumpsuits Into Powerful Tees That Command Attention

Outkast's André Benjamin (or André 3000, as we know him) is taking us back to 2014 with the political slogans he used to sport on his jumpsuits during performances. The rapper and actor created a website — aptly titled andre3000.com [1] — where he's selling 13 different long-sleeved T-shirts that feature his own memorable sayings like "have you stopped growing?" and "passionate about compassion." They even come with André's Not 4 Sale tag printed on the sleeve, and they're ethically made from recycled cotton in LA by Everybody.World.

Most importantly, 100 percent of net proceeds from these sales go to the Movement 4 Black Lives [2] organisation, which strives to mobilise people and affect national agendas in support of Black political power. Each shirt is £60 and printed in big, bold lettering that attracts attention, to say the least. While I'm over here trying to decide between "which type of stereo are you?" and "ok, hand over the cure and stop playing," take a look at the site and read André's impactful message to the world. "This is only one piece in the war against systemic racism. It takes all of us. BLACK LIVES MATTER . . . at a minimum," André wrote.
