BAFTA Television Nominees Are Posing in Glamorous At-Home Outfits Ahead of the Award Ceremony
The 2020 Virgin Media BAFTA television awards are coming to you live, this Friday 31 July on BBC One. To celebrate the biggest night in British telly, a handful of nominees are sharing some glamorous, personality-filled portraits ahead of the anticipated award ceremony — all shot remotely by acclaimed British photographer Rankin.
The virtual nominees photo shoot, "all dressed up, with nowhere to go", is a joint effort curated by Virgin Media and BAFTA. The series includes intimate photos of Naomi Ackie, Stephen Graham, Ncuti Gatwa, Suranne Jones, and others in their best at-home awards show outfits. "I am so excited to have shot the 2020 Virgin Media BAFTAs nominee portraits," said Rankin in a press statement. "Despite the limitations, we have created a memorable series of photographs and it has been a real honour to capture some of the biggest TV stars in the intimacy of their own homes. To be able to virtually connect, direct, shoot, and deliver these portraits without any physical interaction has been a fun challenge and our TV celebrities put on quite the performance for us!"
