When Emily Ratajkowski announced she had fashioned her own engagement ring out of melted gold, we thought that was enough to make her bridal jewellery story memorable. Then she one-upped herself and added to the stack, tapping Alison Chemla, the jewellery designer behind Alison Lou, to help her find a unique setting that would highlight her first band, but ultimately stand out even more. The result was a two-stone ring, a large tilted pear diamond contrasted by a smaller princess cut one.
The mis-matched look was obviously appealing to fashion girls everywhere, since we're seeing the trend literally and figuratively take shape on Instagram.
