There was once a time where it felt like all jeans had stretch in them, but as the vintage-inspired, rigid denim became more popular, it's become harder and harder to find great jeans with some give. This is a personal mission for me; I've never been able to comfortably wear a pair of jeans without stretch. The only way to get them on is to go up two sizes for my hips, and then they're way too big on my waist. I'm not in the market for a pair of jeggings, just a cool pair of jeans I can actually wear comfortably. I've done the hard work for you here, but if you're curious, it's essential to check the fabric or construction of each pair of jeans you look at. There needs to be at least one percent elastane, polyurethane, or spandex; the more, the stretchier. I like to aim for two percent if I can get it. Also, if you're ever concerned about your jeans stretching out too much, throw them in the dryer. They'll shrink back up in no time. Happy shopping!
