I'm a Shopping Editor and Here's What I'm Buying at Old Navy This Week

10/02/2020 - 06:40 PM

I spend a ton of time online. As a shopping editor it's important to me that I'm familiar with all of the inventory available to shop at some of my favourite online retailers, and a piece of that means I need to regularly see what's being sold, what's going on sale, and what's new. And as a shopper, I live for those days when new pieces drop and I can add them to my cart before anyone else. This week I spent a ton of time on Old Navy's website staring at a mix of floral pieces [1] that are decidedly Spring-forward as well as some cosy knits that are very now. From pinstripe d'Orsay sandals and bright knits to fleece zip-ups that will get me through these chilly days, here are all of my must haves.

Tie-Belt Maxi Tee Dress for Women

The second this Tie-Belt Maxi Tee Dress for Women [3] ($35) landed at Old Navy I knew it was mine. It comes with a built-in waistbelt, which makes all the difference in terms of fit, and it has a nice little slit. I'll style it with a black leather jacket and some black cowboy boots or mules.

High-Waisted Distressed Rockstar Super Skinny Ankle Jeans for Women

I have been craving a skinny jean with exposed buttons for a long time, and this High-Waisted Distressed Rockstar Super Skinny Ankle Jeans for Women [4] ($50) is calling my name. With slight distressed details this is the type of denim that will continue to improve with every wash.

Shaker-Stitch V-Neck Cardigan for Women

You will love the richness of this Shaker-Stitch V-Neck Cardigan for Women [5] ($42). Try wearing it over your new favourite white T-shirt and then tuck it into high-waisted jeans.

Lace-Up D'Orsay Pointy-Toe Flats for Women

I crave a good pinstripe. It's such a classic print that never goes out of style, and when you see the print rear its head you know warm days are near. The Lace-Up D'Orsay Pointy-Toe Flats for Women [6] ($30) has a gorgeous shape to it and cute lace-up details that'll look great when worn with cropped jeans.

Relaxed Vertical-Stripe Cap-Sleeve Shirt

Something about this Relaxed Vertical-Stripe Cap-Sleeve Shirt [7] ($20, originally $30) makes me want to pair it with something unexpected like black ripped jeans. The top itself is such a soft pastel I like the idea of mixing it up.

Loose-Fit Sherpa Zip Jacket for Women

The Loose-Fit Sherpa Zip Jacket for Women [8] ($50) is something I've been staring at for weeks, and this is the day I make it mine. It's warm, features a nice high-neck for extra warmth, and I'm obsessed with the shade. I fully plan to wear it unzipped over a long slip dress when it gets warmer, too.

Plus-Size Boyfriend Blazer

Your search for the perfect boyfriend blazer is over. Roll the sleeves up of the Plus-Size Boyfriend Blazer [9] ($53) and wear it over your favourite white T-shirt for an effortless look, or toss it over a slip dress.

Hair Scrunchie 3-Pack

Buying new hair accessories is such an easy way to inject a little fun into my wardrobe without spending a ton. Right now I'm into these Hair Scrunchie 3-Pack [10] ($10) because the patterns are so fun.

Relaxed Vintage Crew-Neck Sweatshirt for Women

Mornings are chilly where I live — around low 30s — and when I pop out of the house to grab a morning coffee I want to do so as quickly as possible. The Relaxed Vintage Crew-Neck Sweatshirt for Women [11] ($30) is perfect for achieving that effortless look I'm going after in the mornings.

Mid-Rise Cuffed Bermuda Slim Jean Shorts for Women

I'm getting a little ahead of myself weather-wise, but I know bermuda shorts are going to be huge this Spring and I can't wait for the Mid-Rise Cuffed Bermuda Slim Jean Shorts for Women [12] ($27). They'll be super cute with T-shirts and fleece jackets.
