25/04/2020 - 06:25 PM

I'm definitely the type of person who DMs pals and coworkers asking them if they own something I'm considering buying, or if they have a strong recommendation. So while doing some online shopping recently, I thought, "Who better to sift through the most popular products [1] at Old Navy and help me cull out the best than my fellow Popsugar editors?" From identifying the perfect white t-shirt that promises to maintain quality throughout washing, to high-waisted trousers that I'm dubbing "magic pants" because our editor claims they feel more like sweats, to side-pocket leggings that keep everything in, Popsugar editors revealed what their favourite finds have been so far this year. And they're all right this way.

Old Navy EveryWear Slub-Knit Tee

Item: Old Navy EveryWear Slub-Knit Tee [3] ($10)

What our editor said: "I picked up this shirt on a whim, and now I want to buy, like, five more. This shirt has gone though all the bullet points above and passed with flying colours. It looks great with jeans, skirts, trousers — you name it.

This top comes in sizes XS-XXL and types regular, tall, and petite. I am wearing the regular large, and it fits true to size for reference. The design is tag-free, so there's no annoying itchiness at your neck or side. The fabric is soft and relaxed, but not flimsy or thin. I have washed my t-shirt three times now and it remains in great condition. Is this tee woven with magic or something?" — Macy Williams, editor, Shop & Must Have

Old Navy Mid-Rise Rockstar Super Skinny Jeans

The item: Old Navy Mid-Rise Rockstar Super Skinny Jeans [6] ($25, originally $35).

What our editor said: "I don't know what the deal is with these jeans, but they're fantastic. I tried a mid-rise, dark-blue wash, because I thought they were the most classic, and I really like them. They hug you in all the right places, but they don't feel overly tight or constricting. The stretch is there, in the best way possible. I love that these pants are size-inclusive, and they come in so many different washes, as well as distressed styles. Plus, did I mention they're $25? I didn't think pants like this existed, but now I'm buying multiple colours." — India Yaffe, assistant editor

Old Navy Mid-Rise Pull-On Straight Pants

Item: Old Navy Mid-Rise Pull-On Straight Pants [9] ($15, originally $35)

What our editor said: "Ever since I purchased them, I can't stop telling my coworkers and friends how impressed I am by the quality. Not only do they feel nice, but they look great, too. They are so flattering and hit me in all the right places. My favourite feature is the elastic waistband. I literally put them on and take them off like sweatpants, and there's no fuss having to deal with zippers or buttons. That said, though, you can't even tell they have an elastic waistband because it is only in the back, so they look much more expensive. At just $35, how can you say no?! The affordable price and quality make these a win-win." — Krista Jones, associate editor, Shop

Old Navy Patterned Boyfriend Blazer With Ripped Jeans

Item: Patterned Boyfriend Blazer [12] ($50)

What our editor said: "I knew as soon as I unfurled the jacket from its packageing, this is exactly how I wanted to style it. The jacket is way softer than it looks onsite — and to be honest, much softer than every other blazer I own — so I wasn't sure how it would hang. But it blew my mind. It feels like a flannel on but wears like a blazer. This will definitely become my go-to Spring look. It's essentially just jeans and a t-shirt!" — Rebecca Brown, senior editor

Old Navy Tie-Belt Dolman-Sleeve Jumpsuit in Black and White Stripes

Item: Old Navy Tie-Belt Dolman-Sleeve Jumpsuit in Black and White Stripes [15] ($29, originally $40)
What our editor said: "This jumpsuit is the holy grail of one-piece attire. Made from a rayon-spandex blend, I can sit at my desk all day long in this jumpsuit and it doesn't wrinkle. That also means it's great for trips, whether you're wearing it on a long plane ride or folding it into a suitcase. The wide-leg cut is incredibly comfy; it practically feels like you're wearing pajamas. Did I mention it's flattering? The fabric smooths out my stomach, and the tie belt cinches my waist. I'm starting to think it was woven with magic or something." — MW

Old Navy Mid-Rise Wide-Leg Linen-Blend Pull-On Pants

The item: Old Navy Mid-Rise Wide-Leg Linen-Blend Pull-On Pants [18] ($35, originally $40)
What our editor said: "Within seconds of trying them on, I knew I needed them. The fit was perfect and flattering, but for me, the real selling point is the material. They're lightweight and will keep me cool, but thick enough to offer some stability; they don't feel too thin or see-through. I decided on a black pair because they're easy to wear with just about anything, but they come in four neutral shades and even some printed choices." — KJ

Old Navy High-Waisted Light Stone-Washed Slim Wide-Leg Jeans

The item: Old Navy High-Waisted Light Stone-Washed Slim Wide-Leg Jeans [21] ($17, originally $40)

What our editor said: "I slipped them on and they button over my stomach with ease, fitting snugly without squeezing or pinching. I bought a size 12, which is my typical choice for bottoms, so they're true to size. Not only do these jeans fit well, but they're also smoothing and a great cut. They have a bit of elastic in them, which makes the material really comfortable, too. Luckily, even with the built-in stretch, they don't bag out after wearing them all day. The wider leg is cute because it can easily be dressed up or down. I found a winner! I could definitely wear a bodysuit or tucked-in shirt with these jeans and feel amazing." — MCW

Old Navy High-Waisted Elevate Powersoft 7/8-Length Side-Pocket Leggings

The item: High-Waisted Elevate Powersoft 7/8-Length Side-Pocket Leggings [24] ($40)

What our editor said: "Side pockets are everything to me, but just because a pant has them doesn't mean they can hold up to the pressure. I'm someone who stuffs a lot into their pockets, and I almost never use waistband zippers anymore because they can barely hold anything. I wore these tights to see how much I could shove into the pockets, and whether or not anything would fall out during a weight-training session.

I'm happy to report that while doing legs, I managed to fit my wallet, keys, and cell phone into the pockets, enabling me to be completely hands-free during my workout. And throughout squats, lunges, and other lifts, nothing budged or pushed against my skin." — RB
