I find myself dreaming about days in the sun [1], even if "beach ready" might currently look more like "backyard ready." That doesn't stop me from eyeing some seriously beautiful swimwear. There are so many new swim trends [2] to sample this season with bright colorways, eye-catching one-pieces [3], high-waisted silhouettes, and new fabrications.
Selecting a swimsuit is no easy task, but I find it's always better to narrow down by brands you love. That way you can trust the fit and quality will be on point. I usually buy one to two suits each season with the idea that I can add them to a growing collection. Here are some of my favourite styles from the brands I trust.
Fisch
Constructed in Italy from soft stretch jersey, these suits are all made from recycled fishing nets!
Tea You
This is a new brand of sporty and sexy solids swimwear. Also check out its Apres Sport Pullover Fleece sets, which I want to live in right now.
Hunza G.
This brand has a lot of history behind it. It started in the '80s and is responsible for the iconic cutout minidress in Pretty Woman! Now relaunched under a new name, this brand has landed on a smocked fabric that is flattering on all sizes.
Oséree
These shiny lurex suits are so eye catching. They add a bit of subtle shine to your swim collection.
Oséree

Peony Swimwear
I love that Peony creates a whole lifestyle wardrobe around its swim with fishnet separates that pair perfectly with swim looks.
Peony Swimwear
Peony Strapless Polka-Dot Swimsuit [5] ($144)
Solid & Striped
I've been a fan of Solid & Striped since it launched. Its suits are so sophisticated yet still playful, and they have a timeless appeal to them.
Solid & Striped
Solid & Striped The Ginger Geo Floral Top [6] ($98) and The Ginger Geo Floral Bottom [7] ($98)
Leslie Amon
Every suit in this collection is meant to be worn as swim and clothing. Add a wide-leg white trouser, and this would make the chicest top.
Leslie Amon
Leslie Amon Marylou Glitter-Trim Striped Bikini [8] ($243)
Faithfull The Brand
If you love its dresses, the swim selection will not disappoint. It has the prettiest assortment of feminine prints along with pretty fabric details like smocking.
Onia
I love the quality of Onia suits; the ones I own have really lasted. This one has a great vintage vibe to it.
Onia
Onia Andrea Rib One Piece [9] ($195)
Beach Riot
Known for its activewear, this brand really knows how to make a sporty suit.
Bound By Bond-Eye
This collection has great sporty styles in an array of bright, eye-catching colours.
H&M
H&M has a great selection of affordable swimwear right now. This suit has a great lace-up back detail.
Inamorata
Emily Ratajkowski knows a thing or two about swimwear, and her Inamorata collection is full of splashy prints and sexy cuts.
