Carrie Bradshaw's Best Fall Outfits on Sex and the City

Carrie Bradshaw's Trusty Guide to Fall Layering Is More Useful Than the Weather App

Carrie Bradshaw always knew exactly how to add that extra layer of style — not just for dimension or to start a conversation, but for warmth too. Throughout all six seasons of the sitcom, and then both films, she was constantly adding on extra accessories you never seem to think of before walking out the door: leather hand gloves, just when you thought her outfit veered a little too simple (well, for Carrie anyway) or a silk neck scarf to play up the print on her busy jacquard coatigan, because even mixing three prints is never enough.

While I'm sure we can all picture Sarah Jessica Parker portraying her famous character in the same statement minidresses — the Dior newspaper look is one such example that comes to mind — it was when she showed off her layering techniques that we could appreciate her outfits for all seasons, or the coat that was on top of that iconic date night dress. But it was never just about outerwear for Ms. Bradshaw. When you read on, you'll find little fall hacks Carrie employed with us barely blinking an eye the first time around. You're just lucky I was here to round up these tricks and tips for you.
