Memorable Celebrity Wedding Dresses From the 2010s Decade

The 11 Best Celebrity Wedding Dresses of the Decade, Because 10 Weren't Enough

Celebrity brides from 2010 to 2019 truly reflected the shift we've seen in bridal over the course of the decade. Classic white wedding dresses are no more, and women are redefining the "rules" like never before. Actually, scratch that — they're erasing the rules!

In 2018, Meghan Markle wore a Givenchy gown down the aisle at George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, but it was her halter-neck reception gown, a bespoke, sleeveless creation by Stella McCartney, that made headlines and impacted the history of royal dressing. Hailey Baldwin interpreted the words "wedding dress" most literally, tapping Virgil Abloh of Off-White to embroider his signature text in quotes on her bodice and veil. Surely, no one is about to forget that!

We're here to talk about moments like those — moments that bear significance and hold weight in the fashion world. While we tried to choose one bride from every year, we got stuck in 2011 (that's right, Kate Middleton's year!) because we feel Kate Moss's sequinned Galliano number is just as iconic. You may agree with all of our selections or none of them, but scroll through to have a peek at our choices and see. As the POPSUGAR Fashion team, we stand by this list . . . you know, till death do us part.

We had to include two stylish brides from the year 2011. You can't look at Moss's hand-sequinned and embroidered gown and tell us it's not iconic. She completed the look with a long, sparkling veil when she married Jamie Hince at St. Peter's Church in England on July 1.

When Jessica Biel married Justin Timberlake in Italy on Oct. 19, she wore a pink Giambattista Valli Couture dress, perfectly describing her reason for the choice to Elle Magazine:

"I wanted the dress to be very romantic and feminine and a shape that I very rarely wear. I have never been crazy about all-white wedding dresses, for me at least. [Giambattista Valli] had created that same fabric in a fuschia-and-pink combination for a dress in a previous collection, and I asked him if he could create that same pattern in a white combination, and he suggested pink. It was a bit of a leap of faith at the time, but it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. [Putting it on], I felt like I had made the right choice. I felt elegant. And it moved like a dream."

Chrissy wore not one but three custom Vera Wang creations for her wedding weekend in Lake Como, Italy. She officially married John Legend in this incredible gown with a voluminous tulle skirt on Sept. 14.

Kim glowed for her walk down the aisle in her long-sleeved lace and sheer-inset Givenchy gown, with a dapper Kanye West at her side. No one will forget the look Riccardo Tisci designed for the star, which flattered her curves and accentuated her waist on her special day, May 24, in Italy. The couple later covered up with "Just Married" leather jackets at the reception.

The actress wore a masterpiece of a bridal gown designed by Peter Copping with a low back and sheer illusion sleeves. Her full skirt had pockets, and the detailed embroidery came with a touch of colour to provide her "something blue." Allison married Ricky Van Veen on Sept. 19 in Saratoga, WY.

Ciara showed off her bohemian side in this lovely Cavalli gown, which came equipped with bell sleeves and an incredible veil. She wore custom Giuseppe Zanotti shoes when she married Russell Wilson on July 6 at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England.

While we will never forget Meghan's Givenchy three-quarter-sleeved satin wedding dress, created by Clare Waight Keller, it was her Stella McCartney reception gown that really stole the show and made headlines. The Duchess of Sussex styled her bespoke halter-neck number with Aquazzura heels and Princess Diana's Asprey gemstone ring when she joined Prince Harry for their party at Frogmore House on the evening of May 19. Meghan's decision to show off some skin and bare her shoulders will forever go down in history as a significant moment in royal dressing.

It was Hailey Baldwin, who married Justin Bieber in South Carolina on Sept. 30, who interpreted her wedding dress most literally. She tapped her good friend Virgil Abloh of Off-White to stamp his signature touch on her lace bodice and veil, embroidering "Wedding Dress" and "Till Death Do Us Part" in his signature quotes. If you ever forget just how magical the gown truly was, you can always go back and watch it in action during her fitting.
