In today's episode of obscure luxury items we're mesmerised by — Chanel is selling a "Flask Bag" for £4,410. Yeah, you read that right. The luxury reusable water bottle is available in gold-tone metal with a black plastic cork sporting Chanel's iconic interlocking, double "C" logo. The best part? It comes with its very own, black quilted Chanel bag — très chic.
Chanel's Flask Bag is certainly a taste of every day luxury, but it's not the first time that a high fashion brand has released a luxe drinking accessory. Off-White designer Virgil Abloh released a range (£45) of glass bottles cobranded with water filtration company SOMA and upmarket water brand Evian in Feb. 2019. Prada launched their own designer reusable bottle in collaboration with Selfridge's The Corner Shop in November 2019. Then, there's Vivienne Westwood who teamed up with stainless steel bottle company 24 Bottles to release the Clime Bottle (£35) — to raise awareness for climate change inaction.
