Hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler [2], who stunned in an orange one-shoulder Maticevski dress, the event brought out a slew of bright-coloured red carpet looks. Julia Garner wore a red Salvatore Ferragamo number [3], Niecy Nash wowed in glittering Jason Wu, "The Bear"'s Ayo Edebiri turned heads in a floor-sweeping Thom Browne design, Elle Fanning posed in a voluminous Alexander McQueen midi, and "Abbott Elementary [4]"'s Quinta Brunson dazzled in a ruffle-trimmed Robert Wun gown [5].
Meanwhile, stars such as Sarah Hyland [6], Sadie Sink, Julia Roberts [7], and Madelyn Cline opted for all black, with Hyland in striking cutouts from Stella McCartney [8], Sink in an embroidered Chanel Couture dress, Roberts in sequined Schiaparelli, and Cline in a feathered Givenchy piece.
During the ceremony, Kate Hudson [9] of "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery [10]" presented her costar Janelle Monáe with the seventh annual SeeHer Award. Monáe, who sported a sheer Vera Wang look [11], was nominated for best supporting actress and was honoured for her advocation of gender equality and boundary-pushing accomplishments in the industry. Jeff Bridges [12] also received the lifetime achievement award, presented by Michelle Pfeiffer [13], to celebrate his longstanding career.
