Dua Lipa is making a strong case for the return of Y2K style [3], and her favourite fashion item of the era is certainly butterfly details [4]. After sweeping the 2021 Grammy awards in a sparkly Versace butterfly dress [5], the Future Nostalgia singer has consistently been repping all things butterflies — including jewellery, homeware — and now, a one-shoulder crop top that had us scurrying to find the designer.
Dua Lipa's one-shoulder butterfly crop top is from emerging designer Masha Popova's autumn/winter 2021 [6] collection "You Make Me Dizzy". The piece is part of Popova's first official collection since graduating from Central Saint Martins. The Y2K-inspired collection features sequin butterfly crop tops, deconstructed acid-wash jeans, and sculpted rose details. Although fresh out of fashion school, Popova already has a dedicated celebrity following, including Bella Hadid, Billie Eilish [7], Jourdan Dunn, and Solange.
