It's leather weather! As someone who appreciates all things Fall, I couldn't be more excited about the ushering in of cool-weather staples like sweaters, corduroy pants, and coats. But we're here to specifically talk about leather. One of the biggest 2019 Fall trends, leather goes far beyond the basics like moto jackets and trousers this season (though both remain prevalent), coming in dress, shirt, jumpsuit, and skirt form. With a clean and tailored effect, this trend makes a statement whether as a singular piece or worn head to toe. And one of the most tempting takes on leather this season, to me, is the leather dress. Particularly, this buttery-soft faux-leather style from It-label Nanushka.
With a sharp pointed collar, button-down detailing, and self-tie belt, this vegan leather dress is perfect for the office. But with temperatures dipping into the 50s, I knew I needed an extra layer. With a cosy ribbed texture, the turtleneck is perfectly warm yet thin enough for layering without any added bulk. At the risk of sounding boastful, the final result comes out to the perfect Fall outfit. While the dress can certainly be worn on its own or topped with a coat, to me, the layered sweater makes it a lot more versatile for a range of occasions throughout Fall and Winter. I mean, I immediately took it for a spin at the office and have plans to wear it for dinner and drinks this weekend.
