If you've ever wanted to own one of Ella Emhoff [3]'s knit designs, you're in luck because she's actually raffling off a few pairs for a good cause. After winning many hearts in her embellished Miu Miu coat [4] during last month's presidential inauguration, Ella has proven that she's a style star in the making [5]. She's even signed a modelling contract with IMG [6]! If you take a look at her Instagram account, you'll notice that the vice president's step-daughter is a fan of knitting. Ella, who currently studies at Parsons School of Design in NYC, announced a knit raffle on her Instagram page [7] and stated that proceeds will be going toward For The Gworls [8] and The Okra Project [9], which both support the Black trans community.
If you're wondering how you can win a pair of either a custom striped style or colorblock knit pants, you have to pay $10 to enter the raffle. Then, you email your donation receipt to knitraffleentries@gmail.com with your Instagram handle in the subject line. The winner will be chosen on Friday, Feb. 12, so apply while you can.
