The Great British Bake Off's Noel Fielding is a surprising inspiration behind Fendi's Autumn/Winter 2021 menswear collection.
Fans might be familiar with Fielding's quirky, statement shirts on Bake Off, and his offscreen talent for colourful chalk drawings. The latter of which appears heavily in Fendi's latest collection, which features colourful artwork and Fendi lettering designed by Fielding. "Very excited to announce that I have collaborated with Fendi (using my artwork) for their new Menswear winter collection !!!," Fielding announced on Instagram.
"I like him as a man, and he is a multifaceted talent: writing, comedy, music, art," said Fendi's menswear creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi to Vogue. "This is something we all have to do today, I think, to change our own skins. And speaking of therapy, in his graphics you can read what you want to see, like coloured yarns that have been thrown on the floor to make a pattern."
