Florence Pugh Wears Sheer Pink Barbiecore Jumpsuit

Florence Pugh Gives Barbiecore a Festival Makeover in Sheer Jumpsuit and Flower Crown

There's no doubt about it, Barbiecore has taken over this season. Just when we thought we'd seen all iterations of the fuchsia-pink style, Florence Pugh took the trend to a new level as she danced and sang at Wilderness Festival last weekend. Wearing a sheer magenta jumpsuit with a keyhole neckline and a diamanté heart at the halterneck over a pastel-pink bikini, Pugh gave Barbiecore a summer-festival makeover.

Posting snaps on Saturday 13 Aug., Pugh captioned the joyful photos by writing: "Grab your friend, grab a field, frolic in pink and sing stupid silliness. And also put a shitload of flowers in your hair like Dani did." Fans were quick to make the link between the caption and one of Pugh's most iconic roles. The 26-year-old played the character of Dani in the 2019 horror film "Midsommar", who wore a flower crown in the film, which centres around a Swedish festival.

Known for her experimental style, hair transformations, and cool piercings, all eyes were naturally on Pugh's hot-pink outfit. Unlike Valentino's PP Pink collection that has Sir Lewis Hamilton and Zendaya fronting the campaign and has dominated celebrity wardrobes of late, the actor's festival look is much more affordable. The Cindy Pink Heart Flare Jumpsuit is just £65 from Etsy, while her pink heart-shaped sunglasses and flowers are from Amazon. She wore the neon all-in-one over over a minimal pink bikini that she crossed over at the neck and added a pale-pink backpack and heart-shaped earrings to prove her love for the look.

Pugh's care-free photos show that she is, thankfully, unfazed by the body shamers who criticised her last sheer pink outfit. She took to Instagram in July to challenge trolls who commented on her outfit at the Valentino Haute Couture Show, asking: "why are you so scared of breasts?" As she attended the event alongside Anne Hathaway and Ariana DeBose, the "Little Women" actor looked every inch the Hollywood starlet, and her articulate takedown was supported by "Bridgerton" actor Regé-Jean Page and Jessica Chastain.

As fans prepare to see Pugh in her latest role in Olivia Wilde's "Don't Worry Darling" alongside Harry Styles, it's so refreshing to see her kicking back and having fun with friends. There's no doubt the fuchsia is bright for this star.
