The third annual Green Carpet Fashion Awards (GCFA) was held in Milan, Italy on 22nd September, as the closing ceremony for Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020. In attendance were some of our favourite environmentally conscious stars, like Alessandra Ambrosio, Adut Akech, and Sophia Loren, who dazzled in sustainable designer dresses and natural diamonds while walking the green carpet.

Of the notable GCFA winners was Stella McCartney, who won the GCFA Groundbreaker Award for her continued commitment to more sustainable practices within the fashion industry. Doutzen Kroes also took home the Social Media Changemaker Award for being a global ambassador for Knot On My Planet. Valentino was honoured with the Legacy Award, which was presented by the iconic Italian actress Sophia Loren. While Valentino's creative director Pier Paolo Piccioli accepted The Art of Craftsmanship Award, and Francois Henri Pinault (the CEO of Kering Group, which includes Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, and Balenciaga) was given the Visionary Award.
