While her career gained prominence in the 1990s, Heidi Klum [3] has proven that she's just as fabulous as she was during her prime time as one of the industry's biggest supermodels. Most recently, she's embraced body-baring silhouettes (especially the popular thongkini trend [4]), and her latest look is no exception. On Wednesday, July 12, Klum took to Instagram [5] to show off her toned body in a cutout dress while vacationing with husband, Tom Kaulitz, in Sardinia, Italy. The "Project Runway" alum chose an unconventional yet stunning look for boat day: a Jean Paul Gaultier minidress.
As she relaxed amidst deep blue waters and the sun caressed her skin, Klum donned the figure-flattering piece that featured a stomach cutout, off-the-shoulder detailing, and a depiction of the legendary Mona Lisa painting by artist Leonardo Da Vinci. In vein of keeping things "mini," she accessorised with a red 4G box leather bag by Givenchy that seamlessly matched her fiery nails and oversize round '70s style sunglasses. The German-American model also sported gold jewellery, including three gold body chains that cascaded her abs, which she wore earlier in the day with a black string bikini [6] while lounging by the beach.
As one of the original swimsuit mavens (think: her iconic 1998 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover [8]), Klum's managed to pull off every swimwear style in the book, from micro stringy pieces and crochet bikinis [9] to logofied sets [10]. She even went topless in just a black thongkini bottom [11] during a holiday in Cannes last month. The 50-year-old has recently produced other noteworthy fashion moments, including a Jean Paul Gaultier half-bikini, half-couture gown [12] while attending the designer's Couture show in Paris, along with the yellow Zuhair Murad dress [13] she wore for the 2023 Cannes Film Festival [14].
