Hilary Duff's recent wedding to Matthew Koma at their Los Angeles home may have been small and private, but she just gave the whole world an intimate look at every tiny little detail of her gorgeous wedding dress. In a new video shared by Vogue, Hilary — as well as her stylist Jessica Pastor and the designer of the dress, Jenny Packham — takes us through not only one of her fittings but also the design process, Hilary's hair and makeup test, and her wedding-day accessories like her Jennifer Behr pearl-and-diamond headband and Anita Ko earrings. We even got a close look at the adorable dress Packham created for Hilary and Matt's 1-year-old daughter Banks.

After going through "many, many, many designers," according to Hilary, the Lizzie McGuire star and her stylist settled on British designer Jenny Packham (who is also a favourite designer of Kate Middleton). "What I love about Jenny . . . is that I know that the finished dress is always going to magical and it's going to be beautiful and perfect; and she cares just as much as I do about all those little details," Jessica says in the video. And as you go through the video, you quickly realise what she means.

The custom-made ivory dress was made from a stretch crepe with "quite a fishtail skirt and very empowered shoulders — we call them a saddle shoulder pad because they kind of dip down and come up at the edge," Jenny explains of her creation. "The shoulders are so exciting to me," Hilary says. "It's really what I wanted: it has structure, but it's clean and simple." The shoulder pads also gave the designer a way to create a head-turning silhouette without having to go with a big ballgown. "[Jessica and Jenny] knew I didn't want a very big dress but that I wanted a statement dress, which I think is this," adds Hilary.

The thing that really made us swoon though was the sweet little hidden details that Hilary asked Jenny to add into the dress that truly make this a bespoke piece. On the inside of the dress's skirt are Hilary and Matt's initials and wedding date, along with the initials of their two children, Luca and Banks. "They're part of our ceremony and obviously the biggest part of our life," says Hilary. "Maybe someday Banks will wear my dress, and she can add to it." Banks didn't have to wait long to wear a Jenny Packham design, however. The designer created an adorable little white empire-waist gown for the big day complete with poufy sleeves, pink velvet ribbon, and a big bow at the back. "It's the cutest thing I've ever seen . . . and the giant bow at the back actually crushes my soul," Hilary says.

"I love it, I feel really comfortable, and I feel like it's everything that I dreamed of," Hilary says of the final look, which you can see in the footage ahead. Then keep reading to see the gown — and all the sweet and meaningful details — from every angle.
