The button-clad dress, which debuted at New York Fashion Week [4] as part of Siriano's spring/summer 2022 collection [5], features eight dramatic cutouts, beautifully layered to provide a peek of the midriff that speaks to our love for crop tops [6] and low-rise looks [7] from the early aughts.
The base of the dress is a black miniskirt embellished with three oversize white buttons that led down to Monáe's strappy Jimmy Choo Minny Sandals. The star also showed off their black-and white pedicure, which perfectly matched the monochrome colour scheme that they tend to stick to in order to represent their dedication to uniformity [8] as an ode to the working class.
