Kacey Musgraves is quickly becoming my favourite style icon to follow. Her outfits are, without fail, in-your-face awesome [1]. As someone who's inspired by sophisticated Western trends one day and playful glitter shoes the next, I can totally relate to the outfit she wore when she sat for an interview on The Ellen Show to talk about her new album "Golden Hour." She put us all in the holiday mood [2] right away, singing "Christmas Makes Me Cry" from her holiday album, "A Very Kacey Christmas." But Kacey's appearance really came full circle when we spotted her By Far slingbacks, complete with a glitter heel [3].
These shoes are business in the front, holiday party in the back, and they didn't take away from her psychedelic co-ord set that felt festive in a jacquard paisley print. Kacey accessorised her look with a bunch of rings and silver drop earrings. Her outfit didn't scream "It's Christmastime!" but it would also fit right in at the fancy-shmancy family gathering. Needless to say, I'm adding her shoes to my rotation (they're marked down right now from $515 to $310 [4]!) and then rocking them with everything from jeans to my most fabulous jumpsuit.
