The model channelled Cindy Crawford [1] at her 18th birthday party in New York on Friday night and wore a bondage-inspired leather look which echoed back to Cindy's iconic 1992 VMAs outfit. Stylish genes definitely run in this family!

In 2017, Cindy told Vogue about Kaia's affinity for this particular dress. "It's one of those dresses that made an impression," she said. "And of course, now this is one of the dresses that Kaia's like, 'Where have you been hiding that? I want that dress."

Well, Kaia finally got a custom Versace dress of her very own. Before she partied the night away with the likes of Leonard DiCaprio and Kendall Jenner, she strapped into a leather corseted bodysuit with gold buckle detailing. Unlike her mom, who went with a floor-length black skirt back in the '90s, Kaia chose a leather mini skirt to complete her look and tied the whole outfit together with over-the-knee boots with gold studs, matching gold earrings, and a black Tribute evening bag.
