When I saw Kate Middleton sprinting at an Olympic Park SportsAid event in Stratford, my first thought was, "Dang. I guess I should rethink my running outfits." After all, the duchess was chugging along in Marks & Spencer ribbon sneakers that retail for £29.50 and are essentially a cuter version of the classic Adidas Samba football shoes. Oh, and those wide-leg trousers? You thought right — they aren't joggers at all but culottes from Zara that are now on sale for $8.
Kate coordinated the adorable emerald look with her Smythe blazer, which she eventually took off to reveal a trendy ribbed top. Also, I mean, get you a girl who can perform track-and-field drills in Monica Vinader drop earrings and a gold pendant necklace. Kate did this with ease.
She's no stranger to casual outfits, especially when she needs something functional for a busy day, but this prim-and-proper moment turned sporty really just put us in the mood to rock a tailored trouser with sneakers.
