Kerry Washington has been pretty busy and somehow still found the time to post up in the yard for some makeshift "holiday" style selfies in her palm-tree-print maxi dress. From speaking at the Democratic National Convention to helping Reese Witherspoon throw an impromptu "New Year's Eve" party at the Emmys in stunning Oscar de la Renta and Dolce & Gabbana dresses (which she then put up for auction to raise money for When We All Vote), it's safe to say she's had more on her agenda than Olivia Pope.

That just makes us appreciate the feel-good, be-free vibes she brought to our feeds even more. Kerry's #FashionFriday is more like our fashion every day mood. Her house dress of choice is FARM Rio's Swinging Palm Linen midi, which has long sleeves and beaded tassels. It's airy, a little bit youthful — especially when complete with those funky oversize circular sunglasses and layered jewellery — and clearly ideal for posing selfie style. And yes, even though we normally think of palm trees as a summertime print, we still see no reason not to indulge in this addition to our wardrobes, just to let the sunshine in.
