I used to watch Sailor Moon [1] religiously — like, to the point where I still recognise the superhero's iconic style referenced in runway looks [2]. The show ended in 1997 and it's now 2020, so am I still rooted too deeply in the past? It's possible. But it looks like I'm not the only one. KITH announced on its Instagram page [3] that in honour of the cartoon's 25th anniversary (did you know it was officially called Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon? I didn't!), a collection is coming this Friday April 17.

There will be one hoodie with the original Sailor Moon graphic, and then a reimagined one with the gang of iconic guardians dressed in KITH's streetwear-cool pieces, from biker shorts to crop tops. I never thought I'd be saying this, but who needs slick red over-the-knee boots when you can walk tall in KITH's chunky trainers? Sailor Moon, you're good babe.

While we have yet to confirm a price range for the KITH x Sailor Moon collaboration, I do know that I'm already allotting some of my paycheck to it. Even though I recently realised I have more than enough hoodies [4], there's always room for one more when it's this cute, wouldn't you say?
