We've seen a plethora of cutout dresses, cutout swimsuits, and even cutout trousers [1] on the celebrity style circuit as of late, but a cutout blazer? Now that, folks, is a first in our book. Lily James made a strong case for the unexpected trend during a Pam & Tommy [2] press event on 25 Jan., and now we have no choice but to hop on board. The 32-year-old actor, who portrays Pamela Anderson in the upcoming Hulu series [3], seemingly paid homage to Anderson's sultry style, wearing a pink blazer with so many crisscrossed openings, it resembled a fashionable cage of sorts. Playing peek-a-boo underneath was a silver corset-style minidress embellished with crystals and covered in — you guessed it — even more cutouts.
Styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray [4], James's two-piece set hails from Atelier Versace's autumn/winter 2021 collection [5]. She finished the ensemble with silver Anita Ko jewellery and platform ankle-strap sandals.
