The Elephant bag, which is limited to just 300 editions and sold for $1,650, is hand-woven entirely from Shuka by women artisans from the Samburu Trust in Northern Kenya. Shuka is the same vibrant fabric that is used for the Samburu people's shawls. The blue stands for the sky, red for the blood of their cattle, and white for the cows' milk. In this way, this crossbody satchel (which has a removable strap, if you prefer to clutch it) represents a marriage of two groups that are at the forefront of preserving and working with nature to keep the environment safe.
