Miley Cyrus [1]'s bodysuit era continues. On the cover of her eighth studio album [2], "Endless Summer Vacation," the "Plastic Hearts" singer swings from a trapeze bar wearing a black vintage Alaïa bodysuit from the '90s. Selected from the archives by stylist Bradley Kenneth [3], the swimwear-esque piece is made of a silky material and features halter-style straps and two angular side cutouts just above the hips. After a few more shots taken by photographer Brianna Capozzi [4] were revealed to promote Cyrus's partnership as an investor with self-tanner brand Dolce Glow [5], the design's open back and cheeky fit came into light. Cyrus opted out of pants and finished the striking look with rectangular YSL sunglasses, slingback pointed-toe YSL heels, and a swipe of red lipstick. She put her dozens of tiny arm tattoos [6] on display for the photo shoot.
"Endless Summer Vacation" is set to be released on 10 March, but first, Cyrus dropped her single "Flowers" on 13 Jan. with a full music video [7] that involves a rigorous workout routine [8] in a classic black bikini and a gold stomach-cutout dress [9] from YSL's autumn 1991 collection. Cyrus's love for archival fashion was also front and centre during her second annual New Year's Eve special [10], where she wore two vintage Versace dresses and a beaded one-shoulder number from costume designer Bob Mackie's 2002 capsule.
Seeing as you'll have to shell out a few thousand dollars to score Cyrus's exact bodysuit from a secondhand website [11], we tracked down a handful of more affordable dupes, plus a similar Alaïa cutout swimsuit that's available for purchase right now. Shop our picks ahead, then check out the plunging shift dress [12] Cyrus wore to celebrate "Flowers" staying at the top of the charts. Unsurprisingly, this, too, was an archival piece, from Tom Ford's 1996 spring collection for Gucci.
