Nicola Peltz’s Wedding Dress Details

Nicola Peltz Wears an Open-Back Wedding Gown to Marry Brooklyn Beckham

Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham got married on Saturday, 9 April, at Peltz's family mansion in Palm Beach, FL, in front of family and friends including Venus and Serena Williams, Eva Longoria, and Gordon Ramsay. The Valentino Haute Couture gown she wore down the aisle, as seen in British Vogue, had a column-style skirt that fell to the floor with an accompanying train, and an open back, all in a gorgeous silk to complement her square-toe satin platforms, an eccentric exchange for bridal heels.

Peltz's floral lace, opera-length gloves matched the embroidery on the trim of her mesh veil, which acted as an overlay for her train. She carried a petite bouquet to match and accessorised with diamond stud earrings that were on full display as her hair was pulled up at the crown of her head, inspired by '90s supermodel Claudia Schiffer's iconic look. Peltz's dress was reportedly complete with an evil eye tailsman from her mom and a message stitched into the gown with blue thread by the Valentino atelier.

Peltz confirmed back in November that she worked with Valentino on her custom wedding dresses. "We've been to Rome twice, watching everyone in the atelier, they're just so talented. The first time I went to Rome, I brought my mom and my brother Brad, who's actually my man of honour, and then Leslie Fremar who's one of my best friends in the whole world. It is really a beautiful thing to be a part of, and it's very exciting," she told CR Fashion Book of the fitting process.

The actress previously wore a custom Valentino Couture look, crafted by Italian designer Pierpaolo Piccioli, for the 2021 Met Gala. That particular design came in an empire-waist silhouette and featured hot-pink sequins stitched into a camouflage-like pattern down to the floor. She completed the look with baby-pink leather opera gloves, drop chandelier diamond earrings, and a bold cat eye.

Though she's clearly a fan of the Milan-based fashion house, many wondered if Peltz would end up in a design by future mother-in-law Victoria Beckham on her big day instead. After all, she wore a yellow ruffled midi dress from the brand to celebrate her engagement. She ultimately went a different route for her nuptials, but we are pretty sure there will be plenty of Victoria Beckham dresses in Peltz's future.

Peltz and Beckham have been open about their wedding plans ever since getting engaged in July 2020, when Beckham proposed with a five-carat emerald-cut diamond engagement ring.

Who Designed Nicola Peltz's Wedding Dress?

Peltz confirmed that her wedding dresses were all designed by Valentino's Pierpaolo Piccioli, who she also worked with on her 2021 Met Gala dress. The hot pink sequinned gown came replete with baby-pink opera gloves for the "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion"-themed ball.

Peltz said that she never envisioned a specific dress she wanted to get married in, but worked closely with the Valentino team to narrow down her options. "The creative process has been fun, like finding the perfect fit and fabric," she told CR Fashion Book.

The actress ended up walking down the aisle in a white ball-gown-style number with an open bow back and a matching floral-embroidered veil that trailed behind her.

Peltz wore a yellow spring 2020 Victoria Beckham dress to celebrate her engagement to fiancé Brooklyn in July 2020, and went on to repurpose it all summer, as she admitted on Instagram. However, she did not wear her mother-in-law's label for her big day. That being said, Victoria herself wore a metallic slip by her own design and she dressed her best friend, actress Eva Longoria, in an LBD from her spring/summer 2022 collection, according to British Vogue.

Peltz told CR Fashion Book she worked on multiple dresses with the Valentino atelier.

Peltz's best friend and longtime stylist, Leslie Fremar, accompanied her to her second of two bridal fittings with Valentino in Rome and styled her for her wedding day. Fremar's other clients include Simone Biles, Charlize Theron, Taylor Russell, Léa Seydoux, and Jennifer Connelly.

Beckham wore a custom tuxedo designed by Dior's Kim Jones on his wedding day, complete with an Anita Ko chain on the lapel covered in bezel set, emerald-cut diamonds — a gift from his new in-laws. Beckham also wore a yarmulke, or a kippah, a traditional cap that represents the Jewish faith.

David Beckham shared a picture of the suit he wore for the occasion, with his own father and Victoria Beckham's dad, Anthony Adams, looking dapper in a pair of matching tuxedos. Meanwhile, Peltz's mother Claudia wore custom royal blue Versace. Peltz's bridesmaids reportedly wore gowns by tailor Joel Diaz.

Nicola Peltz's engagement ring is an emerald-cut diamond solitaire designed by Brooklyn Beckham that is reportedly about five carats. Jewellers estimated it to cost anywhere from $120-$200k (£75-£155k), according to reports from E! and People that were released when the couple announced their engagement in July 2020.

The designer debuted her first-ever Victoria Beckham Couture dress, made over the course of five days at her London atelier from a bespoke silk fabric reminiscent of liquid metal. The neckline is finished with three different lace overlays, combined and embroidered to look like one. Beckham also dressed her mom in Victoria Beckham, along with her best friend, actress Eva Longoria, in a cutout LBD from her line.
