For Rihanna, it was a no-brainer that Normani Kordei would star in her Fall 2019 Savage x Fenty show during New York Fashion Week, and the 23-year-old pop star did not disappoint. On Tuesday night, Normani walked the red carpet before she performed in the show wearing a sexy lace corset from the lingerie brand, topped with a yellow tiger-print robe, which she left unbuttoned to reveal the gorgeous ensemble.
In an interview with Elle following the show, Rihanna spoke about how important it is for her to have powerful women like Normani performing in her show. "I wanted to highlight women who are powerful," she said. "To me, power in whatever way you master it is very sexy. And with someone like Normani, you know, she's an incredible dancer, and dance is athleticism. Dance is powerful. It would be a shame to miss out on the opportunity to have that kind of beauty and power in the show."
And Normani did not disappoint! Kacey Musgraves, as well as Cara Delevingne, Ashley Graham, Laverne Cox, and more stars were in attendance at the show, and some even walked for the lingerie brand. The entire 40-minute production will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on Sept. 20, and we can't wait to see what she pulled off.
