I'm not exaggerating here: Other than what I'm wearing on the train, this Old Navy jumpsuit [1] is the only clothing item packed in my small suitcase to head upstate for Christmas. After all, my bag's already chock full of presents (plus my dog's essentials [2]), and I'm only planning to lounge at home with my parents anyway.
But, even if we do head to dinner one night, my trial-run wearing this last weekend in NYC proved it's the best choice for anyone needing for a versatile lounging outfit that still looks nice if you have to pop outside the house. First off, the French terry fabric is a perfect in-between weight to wear solo (or under the cardigan [3] I'll wear on my ride up). It pairs well with both boots and cosy slippers [4], and looks just as nice at the dining table as it'll feel watching TV on the couch afterwards. With a loose fit (but also a drawstring waist for shape), it's like wearing pajamas in public . . . without actually wearing pajamas in public.
Now, I'm a recent convert from my first true love — dresses [5] — but this jumpsuit has me fully embracing the alternative for the winter break and beyond. If you're looking for an all-in-one, multi-purpose outfit, too, find more information on the fit and sizing (and see all the available colours) ahead.
