I'll be candid; I don't love jeans. I'm much more of a skirt or dress [1] kind of girl, because I like the way they look on me more than pants. However, I live in a cold climate, and so jeans and sweaters have become a necessary staple for me. I've tried what feels like every jean imaginable, and I've been looking to find a pair that meets my basic requirements. I like jeans with lots of stretch, and I prefer a skinny jean, because I think they're timeless and go with everything. I never thought I'd find such a great pair of pants at Old Navy, but I cannot recommend the Old Navy Rockstar Jeans [2] ($21, originally $35) enough.
I don't know what the deal is with these jeans, but they're fantastic. I tried a high-rise, dark blue wash, because I thought they were the most classic, and I really like them. They hug you in all the right places, but they don't feel overly tight or constricting. The stretch is there, in the best way possible. I love that these pants are size-inclusive [3], and they come in so many different washes, as well as distressed styles. Plus, did I mention they're $21? I didn't think pants [4] like this existed, and now, I'm buying multiple colours.
