London's Design Museum will be hosting the first ever major exhibition of the Italian fashion house Prada. The exhibition, titled Prada. Front and Back, will explore the house's creative process, iconic collaborations, and histories of the brand.
The theme of "Front and Back" refers to both "the surface of fashion, and the creative and industrial infrastructure on which it depends," as explained by the Design Museum. The creative eye and leadership of head designer Miuccia Prada will be a central focus. Miuccia, who also founded the brand's subsidiary Miu Miu, took over her family business in the mid-'70s and along with her husband, Patrizio Bertelli, transformed the fashion house into one of the most successful, recognisable names in the industry and the world.
Prada. Front and Back opens at the Design Museum in September 2020, with tickets going on sale in Spring 2020.
