Pyer Moss is branching into new product categories with the launch of a handbag and women's footwear collection. The news follows founder Kerby Jean-Raymond's departure from Reebok, where he served as global creative director for two years.

Pyer Moss's ready-to-wear expansion signals a new and exciting era for the label, giving its loyal fans the chance to achieve head-to-toe looks from the designer. "As my team is growing we are starting to serve the needs and wants of women that work here as well as our customers," Jean-Raymond tells POPSUGAR via email. "And it's something that we are proud of."

Created in partnership with artisanal factories in Milan, the shoes come in yellow, red, and black and feature a mix of thigh-high sandals, mules with block heels, and sock boots. The handbags are available in black and bright yellow and rendered in eye-catching trapezoid silhouettes. Some even feature a prominent hand mimicking a cartoon, a design flourish that Jean-Raymond says has a special meaning.

"As my team is growing we are starting to serve the needs and wants of women that work here as well as our customers. And it's something that we are proud of."

"The hand motif was something that we started to work on in early 2019 for what was the first version of Collection 4," Jean-Raymond says. "Then we brought it over to our Couture Collection as seen in our 'Curtain Rod' and 'Mop' looks. It's something that feels fun, familiar, and reminds [us] of togetherness."

With this collection, Jean-Raymond says he had time to perfect his distribution approach. "Moving away from the scarcity model, the brand is being more intentional with the number of units they produce, making only what is necessary," he shares. A brand representative adds: "In general, Kerby and the brand have taken a step back from the public eye to refocus how they approach design, the way they produce and how they perfect product quality."

Jean-Raymond's first-ever accessories collection is available now on PyerMoss.com, and prices start at £160. Scroll on to shop some of our favourite items.
