The arrivals for the 2019 British Fashion Awards have commenced and, as expected, the red carpet is a glittering affair. But there are two people we simply refuse to take our eyes off of: Shailene Woodley and Liya Kebede. Twinning in matching blue puffer ensembles by Moncler, the pair walked the red carpet together, posing for photos along the way.
Both women are wearing Moncler Genius Collection 2019, which Kebede worked with Maison Valentino's creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, to create. The collection is stunning, and is actually a collaboration within another collaboration. Kebede's own label, lemlem, is an artisan-driven brand made entirely in Africa, and each piece features a unique, vibrant pattern designed by artisans local to Ethiopia. For this reason, and because of lemlem's gorgeous patterns, Piccioli enlisted Kebede to work on this collection, which mixes artisan patterns and couture craftsmanship in a fresh way.
The best way to describe Woodley and Kebede's red carpet looks on Monday night, in one word? Epic. Shailene has gone all out with a head-to-toe dark blue puffer look — complete with sleeveless gown and a hooded jacket draped over her shoulders. Meanwhile, Kebede has kept things a bit simpler, pairing her skirt with a classic plain white t-shirt that features sparking pearl embellishment around the neckline.
