Popsugar Fashion Antiracism Stars Wear "Phenomenally Black" Tees to Support Nonprofit Kerry Washington, Storm Reid, and More Rock "Phenomenally Black" Tee For a Powerful Cause 15 June 2020 by Karenna Meredith View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kerry Washington (@kerrywashington) on Jun 12, 2020 at 3:36pm PDT Kerry Washington, Storm Reid, Laura Harrier, and more are expressing their power with pride by wearing matching T-shirts for a good cause. Amid protests against racism and police brutality, celebrities are raising awareness and funds for the Black community by sporting a tee that reads "Phenomenally Black" from Phenomenal Woman. They've shared social media snaps of themselves wearing the top, along with a similar message of support. "Millions of protesters across the country are speaking out against anti-black racism and police violence," the statement reads. "But we still have a lot of work to do, and we can't let up. So keep going. Continue fighting for our Phenomenally Black community until there's full accountability." All the proceeds from this top will go to the Black Futures Lab, a nonprofit founded by Alicia Garza, a co-creator of Black Lives Matter. The Black Futures Lab focuses on building Black political power on local, statewide, and national levels. Keep reading to see the many actors, activists, models, journalists, and more who've shown support already. Millions of passionate protesters across the country have been speaking out against anti-black racism and police violence and it is a wonderful thing to witness such a strong and unified desire for change... BUT we still have a lot of work to do. We can't let up now and it is imperative that we keep going. That we keep fighting for our Phenomenally Black community until there's full accountability and policy changes to a system that has been on the wrong side of right for far too long. Time for a change and seats at the table to make it happen.
