Oprah Adds Telfar Bags to Her Favourite Things, and Just Like That, They're Available on Amazon

A little digging for a Telfar bag online will usually leave you disappointed as they tend to sell out quickly (like, insanely quickly) after being restocked on the site. But after Oprah listed the brand's medium shopping bags on her 2020 Favourite Things List, we realised they were also available on Amazon. That being said, the stock there probably won't last long. But there is an option to get one quickly for Prime users. The Medium Shopping silhouette, retailing for $202, is currently available in four colorways — Cream, Dark Olive, Navy, and Tan.
The bags were popularized in 2014 after being launched in small, medium, and large and Liberian-American founder and designer Telfar Clemens stamped a democratic slogan on his luxury label: "Not for you, for everyone." There is perhaps no better marketplace than Amazon to make the bags feel accessible. The non-gendered brand got even more hype after Clemons was awarded the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2017, and celebrities began sporting the purses in all different colours. Recently, US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wore her "Bushwick Birkin" in oxblood, thereby showing her support for Clemens and a celebration of his success.
