Tom Daley Knits a Harry Styles Cardigan Before the Met Gala

How does Tom Daley prepare for his first Met Gala? Knitting, of course. Daley had a cheeky little preknit before attending New York's most decorated fashion ball. The Olympic diver shared his moments before the Met Gala via Instagram video, while in the midst of knitting a cardigan inspired by Harry Styles's JW Anderson crochet cardigan. Sitting on his windowsill, and focusing on his newest creation, Daley listened to "Golden" by Harry Styles to really complete the mood.

"Knitting away before the Met Gala," Daley said on Instagram video. "What else would you do?" The knitting pattern for the Harry Styles-inspired JW Anderson cardigan is available for free thanks to the brand who generously shared it with the public in summer 2020. After Daley's preknit had him good and ready for the Met, the UK's sweetheart showed up to the event in a black Moschino suit with lace-up detailing on the blazer.
