Fans of Lady Gaga and Valentino were probably quick to notice the (V) Vaccinated hoodie she wore in late August to promote her beauty campaign for the label. The video posted to her Instagram feed was a quick peek at one of the five sweatshirts created by streetwear brand and pop culture sensation Cloney, with a riff on Valentino's "V" logo. Originally, only five were created, all of which were bought by creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli himself to distribute among friends. But Piccioli has chosen to carry out the trend and re-create his own version for valentino.com, with all net profits donated to UNICEF in support of the organisation's global COVAX program.

"Getting vaccinated has become the most effective way to fight this global pandemic, as well as a symbol of respect for others and social responsibility. One cannot hide behind the concept of freedom by deciding not to get vaccinated. Freedom must always be protected, and we must all fight for freedom by respecting others: the freedom to be ourselves, the freedom of thought, the freedom of love, the freedom to express and fight for our own ideas. Unfortunately, not all countries have equal access to COVID-19 vaccines. With this collaboration, Valentino supports UNICEF in the delivery efforts of life-saving COVID-19 vaccines," the designer stated in a press release.

Even though Gaga already owns one of the Cloney pieces, we've got a feeling Piccioli will save her a second hoodie from the new collab with the Valentino tag once they hit the site and are available to the public. Watch this space, and we'll let you know when you can support the cause. In the meantime, read on see some close-ups of the fresh iteration Valentino and Cloney have in store for us.
